I clearly missed the (rather distressing) memo that said these were back in fashion. Feh.
Posted by raptorgirl at November 13, 2003 08:59 AMThey should be called the UGH boots...as that's what I muttered when I opened the picture.
Posted by: Cops at November 13, 2003 10:16 AMHere's what I don't understand about these boots:
In that picture, the girl is wearing a super-short mini skirt with no tights or nylons. Is the warming of the lower part of her legs (covered by the UGH) supposed to somehow compensate for the fact that the rest of her body is completely exposed to the elements?

I was thinking that her friend shouldn't be wearing a belly shirt. I'm just sayin'.
Posted by: grace at November 13, 2003 02:15 PMSadly, yes, these have been the rage in La-La-Land for awhile now. I don't understand the attraction. My ex-brother-in-law wears them constantly. Yes .. that's right .. BROTHER-in-law .. did I say he was EX-b-i-l? ~~TVJ~~
Posted by: TVJunkie at November 13, 2003 04:33 PMWell, it's expected, really, with all that freezing weather in LOS ANGELES.
Posted by: rappy at November 13, 2003 05:34 PMWell, they do claim that the boots keep your feet COOL in temperatures up to 80F. So... maybe that girl is trying to keep her feet from being all hot and stuff.
Posted by: Teem at November 14, 2003 07:25 AMCool? Ok, now I'm confused. What is on the inside lining of those boots? Is it a thermos like substance?
Posted by: rappy at November 14, 2003 08:25 AMSee, I like em.
Posted by: mike at November 15, 2003 11:42 AMYeah, but you've never eaten a pickle, so I can't take you seriously.
