The Not-yet-divorced

I'm sitting here watching The Newlyweds, and I just. don't. get. it. There's a little montage of them recording "Take My Breath Away", and she's so horrific and he's so effortless. I'd like to think he's with her because she's a fantastic lay (I cannot think of any other reason), but dude, she was a virgin when they married. How good could she be? So confused.
