Poor Schnitzel :(.
She has this thing where she suckles on things (mostly her sister), which heewee suggested (and the vet affirmed) stems from being separated from her mommy too soon. Anyway, I came home Wednesday and found her literally eating her own tummy, where she had this awful sore. It was really quite scary, and there were no vets open nearby as there was a holiday. Heewee walked me through making her a sock bandage, which didn't stay on for very long, as she's an active little kitty. Later on I had to McGyver something a bit more sturdy. Now, I know it's horrible to laugh at your own suffering little kitty, but it was kinda funny, so here is the evidence.

Anyway, today I bought a carrier and took my cuties to the vet, and she fitted Schnitz with a collar, which makes her look even more hilarious, but is really kind of sad, because she keeps running into things. The vet said Kiwi is in great shape (other than a potential fungus thing on her tail), but that Schnitz may have some sort of viral thing on her jaw, for which she gave me antibiotics. Poor sickly little kitty :(.

She's like a kittentini!

Posted by: rappy at May 13, 2005 09:06 AMAwww, Schnitzel, just think of it as FABULOUS neck wear!
Posted by: Nancy at May 13, 2005 09:28 AMHmm. The fabulous neck wear is proving difficult when it comes to reaching her food and drink. I had to take it off to let her drink, and she hasn't eaten anything since she's had it on today.

Posted by: Jorge at May 18, 2005 10:41 PMHey, it's me. I'm worried about my little girls. How are they now?
Posted by: moran at May 18, 2005 11:32 PM*Sigh.*
They're a little too active for their own good, but I went to another vet last night (LONG STORY), and I think we're on the right track with them. They'll be getting a lot of spoiling this weekend.
