Wow. That looks incredible! I've heard so much about Uri Buri, but haven't eaten there. Is it as good as they say?

Interesting question. I've eaten there twice, plus participated in a workshop held by Uri (which was fantastic). The food is very good, but quite lacking in sophistication. I'm not trying to sound like a food snob here - what I mean to say is that the dishes are old fashioned, but not in the "classic French" sense, more in the "I'm still somewhere in the 80s" sense, with a few splashes of innovation such as the dish in the picture.

Well, wasabi ice cream does sound pretty 1980's. ;) But I'm still curious to check the place out.

It's only an hour and change to get there by train - maybe we could head up there one day (keeping in mind that the last train back is at 21:15)...
